Who is the go to person you could always count on? Someone you did not hesitate to ask for help – no matter the need, time, place or reason. For me, as I am sure it was for many of you, it was my mother. Here are just a few pearls of wisdom she taught me – always with that twinkle in her eyes and the sweetest smile. See her Tutu smile for yourself as my editor immediately picked her as the perfect model for the cover of our publication attached. Lessons from Tutu: 1. It’s never too late to say something nice. 2. A little bit is a lot when it comes from the heart. 3. If you are struggling with Either / Or, Look for a better way. 4. Just because you can, doesn’ t mean you should. 5. If you know your relative or friend needs help, offer before they ask. It will mean more. 6. Always have a jar full of coins in case of an emergency. 7. Find the good in every person or situation – and you will be better for it. Wish I could add all the stories on how the lessons were learned but that’s another time. Happy Mother’s Day everyone ( 3 weeks late ) – see Lesson number 1. Oops – forgot another important favorite lesson : * When sick with a cold or flu, eat saimin.
