Epistles from Dad

There comes a time when children decide to leave the nest to go off on their own. Parents, by virtue of being parents, know that day will come and must prepare for it.

Nevertheless, my wife insisted that we had not completed the task of instilling life’s important lessons in our two sons – a legacy of values as it were. So in typical fatherly fashion, I began sending our boys a series of memos with important advice which I entitled “ Epistles from Dad.”

The memos actually continued after they left home during real and perceived crises…more often in the form of texts, email, posts but still some old fashioned cards or snail mail. The ones that survived are in this present collection.
