How many of you will admit to remembering the names of the friendly pups in the neighborhood but not their owners? The name of the Landseer black & white Newfoundland in the gorgeous watercolor attached is Luna Lou. She is intelligent, patient, generous, playful, loving and courageous. Finding a treasure and not sharing it is like wrapping a Christmas gift and not giving it. So we want to tell you about Luna Lou’s Mom whose name we know well. She is the Rev. Sally P. Miller, a sought-after speaker, author, and ACPE certified educator chaplain at Good Shepherd Hospital. Her books include “Girl Talk… God Talk,” “Divine Love,” and “Walk with Me: Two Friends on a Spiritual Journey Together.” She is known for her use of painted prayers, her music, her poetry and art – like Luna Lou’s image – to inspire hospital patients and their families. If you had a choice and needed someone to lift your spirit over a cup of coffee, sit down with one of Sally’s books or go to one of her retreats and get ready for heart-breaking and hilarious stories that will make you want to treasure her as a lifelong friend.
Disclosure: Sally refers to herself as the butterfly amid the bunch of bullfrogs of her generation in our family.
